Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time Communications Instructor in the Humanities & Fine Arts Department. Primary teaching assignments will include a variety of courses, such as Basic Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, and specialized interest areas. This position reports directly to the Humanities and Fine Arts Department Head.
Job Duties:
• Teach undergraduate courses
• Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students
• Participate in professional development activities
• Participate in internal and external service activities
• Support the OCTC Speech and Debate Team
Assignments may include some evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and/or off-campus courses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, working with a diverse population, and the community and technical college mission.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours of coursework in Communications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Speech and/or Debate Coaching preferred
